Animals were immunized with salivary gland membranes from Aedes aegypti (Liverpool Black Eye Strain) mosquitoes. [53410]
Cells were tested for Mycoplasma contamination
Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0 mouse myeloma cells. [53410]
The antibody does not cross-react with salivary glands of Anopheles gambiae but does cross-react with salivary glands of Culex pipiens mosquitoes. [53410]
The antibody binds preferentially to the distal lateral lobe of female and male salivary glands. It also recognizes female ovaries. [53410]
The antibody can be used in immunofluorescence and Immuno-Dot Blot assays.
