Comments:	Quantity Limit per Order for this item is 1. This item can be ordered twice a year. Orders over this limit will be sent to NIAID for approval before shipment. Recombinant H9 hemagglutinin (HA) protein from influenza virus A/Hong Kong/1073/1999 (H9N2) was produced in Sf9 insect cells using a baculovirus expression vector system. Recombinant H9 HA protein was purified using conventional chromatographic techniques. NR-654 is biologically active in a hemagglutination assay with 0.5% chicken red blood cells. NR-654 is specific to H9 HA subtype of influenza virus as determined in serological hemagglutination inhibition (HI) assays. Within the H9 HA subtype, NR-654 reacts in HI and ELISA assays with reference antisera of the G1 sublineage, but not with reference antisera of the G9 sublineage. Each vial contains approximately 0.25 mL (46.8 micrograms) of purified recombinant H9 HA protein in 10 mM sodium phosphate (pH 7.0), 150 mM sodium chloride, and 0.01% Tween-20.
