Comments:	Quantity limit per order for this item is 1. This item can be ordered once a year. Orders over this limit will be sent to NIAID for approval before shipment. A segment of the E9L gene from vaccinia virus, New York City Board of Health (BEI Resources NR-54) was amplified from extracted DNA and cloned into a commercial vector. The plasmid was produced in Escherichia coli DH5α™-T1^R cells, extracted using a QIAGEN^® Plasmid Maxi Kit and linearized with HindIII. NR-9343 has been qualified for use as a standard for real-time quantitative PCR. A Pan-Orthopox Virus E9L Gene-Specific Quantitative PCR Assay Detection Kit containing forward and reverse primers, probe and NR-9343 is available as BEI Resources NR-9350. Each vial contains approximately 45 ng of plasmid DNA in TE buffer (10 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM EDTA, pH 7.0).
