Register Level 1

For HIV Reagent Program registrants:

  • If you are already an active registrant of the BEI Resources program, no further action is needed from you. Your BEI Resources user account will automatically update to give you access to the HIV Reagent Program catalog on January 14, 2024.
  • If you have already sent in your HRP Acknowledgment of the BEI Resources MTA, no further action is needed from you. A welcome email with instructions for first-time login will be sent to you; and your BEI Resources user account will automatically update to give you access to the HIV Reagent Program catalog on January 14, 2024.
  • If you are a current HRP registrant and not registered with BEI Resources please review and sign this Acknowledgement of the terms and conditions of the BEI Resources Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) and return by email to contact@beiresources.org.

If you are not a current HRP registrant, please go to the registration section below and complete and return a new registration application packet for full access to the HRP materials.

How to register for Non-Infectious Research Grade Reagents:

BEI Resources Level 1 registration is for receiving Non-Infectious Research Grade Reagents which are Biosafety Level 1. The following documents must be submitted to begin the registration process. All documents must contain original, ink signatures or valid electronic signatures. BEI Resources can accept Level 1 registration agreements by email, fax or by postal mail. Individual Registrations for Level 1

 To download a Level 1 Individual Registration Packet, please click here. Registration includes the requirements below:

  • BEI Resources Registration Application The registration application must be completed and signed by the registrant and countersigned by the Program Manager or Department Head of the institution.
  • Individual Material Transfer Agreement The Individual Material Transfer Agreement must be completed and signed by the registrant and countersigned by a duly authorized signatory capable of legally binding the institution.

Institutional Registrations for Level 1

BEI Resources also accepts Institutional Registrations for entities with more than one eligible researcher. Institutional Registrations require the following documentation:

  • Institutional Material Transfer Agreement The Institutional Material Transfer Agreement (Institutional MTA) must be completed and signed by a duly authorized signatory capable of legally binding the institution.

The possession, use and transfer of biological materials is tightly controlled by federal regulations and several government agencies. A complete review of the compliance requirements is important for researchers who may work with such materials.

Please send all required documents in one package/email/fax and allow two to three weeks after receipt of all registration materials for approval by BEI Resources and NIAID. Missing information will delay approval and could result in declining the application.
