Antibody Class: IgG2b?
ARP-12591 is a monoclonal antibody to human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6) DR6/7 (33B12), produced in a mouse, and targets the DR6/7 protein of HHV-6A and HHV-6B. Amino acids 151 to 393 of HHV-6B Z29 (NC_000898.1) DR6 protein were used as immunogen.
ARP-12591 recognizes epitopes encoded by the second exon of the DR6 gene, previously referred to as DR7, (Kashanchi, F., et al. “Human Herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6) ORF-1 Transactivating Gene Exhibits Malignant Transforming Activity and its Protein Binds to p53.” Oncogene 14 (1997): 359-367. PubMed: 9018122.).
ARP-12591 is detectable by immunofluorescence assay at a dilution of 1:1280 and immunohistochemistry assays at 1:500 on formalin-fixed infected cells. The end-user should determine appropriate titers for Western blot applications.
Note: ARP-12591 may be stored at 4°C for short-term storage and at -80°C for long term storage. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles as reagent degradation may result.
Each vial of ARP-12591 contains approximately 250 µg (2.8 mg per mL) of antibody. Please refer to the appropriate data sheet for lot-specific information.
