Suspension MDCK Cell Line
Madin-Darby Canine Kidney (MDCK) is a widely used model cell line in biological research, including drug product manufacturing, biomedical research, and toxicology. The adherent MDCK (NBL-2) cell line (ATCC® CCL-34) has been adapted to suspension culture under conditions free from animal-derived compounds, including bovine and porcine products (sMDCK).
This suspension MDCK cell line is now available through BEI Resources and can be used by researchers to enable the rapid production of influenza virus strains, facilitating the evaluation of vaccines and therapeutics in new pre-clinical studies and trials.
