Antibody class: IgG1kappa
ARP-531 is a monoclonal antibody to HIV-1 gp41.
This antibody was produced in cell culture and purified by Protein A/G chromatography. It originates from a hybridoma created by fusing EBV-immortalized B-cells from HIV-seropositive individuals and heteromyeloma SHM-D33 cells.
Please see the LANL HIV Molecular Database for more information. It reacts with a gp41 peptide spanning aa 579-613 in ELISA. The exact epitope has not been identified. This monoclonal reacts with a conformational determinant which is maintained by an intrachain disulfide bond. This antibody does not inhibit HIV-1-associated cell fusion or mediate neutralization, but it does mediate antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). It has been shown to enhance HIV-1 infection.
Applications are ELISA, Western Blot, and ADCC.
Note: The user should determine the optimal concentration for any application.
Each vial of ARP-531 contains 100 µg of purified antibody at a concentration of 3.4 mg per mL in PBS.
Please refer to the attached file(s) for additional information.
Note: Avoid freeze-thaw cycles as reagent degradation may result.
