Mouse monoclonal antibody prepared against the dense granule antigen 2 (GRA2) of Toxoplasma gondii clone T4 1F5 was purified from the hybridoma supernatant by protein G affinity chromatography. The B cell hybridoma was generated by the fusion of SP2/0 myeloma cells with immunized BALB/c mouse splenocytes. Clone T4 1F5 recognizes the GRA2 protein. GRA2 (~ 28 kDa) is one of several dense granule proteins that are secreted and localized in the parasitophorous vacuole. Knockout experiments indicated that the GRA2 protein plays a role in the formation and maturation of the intravacuolar network and may have a potential role in infectivity. Each vial contains approximately 100 µL of purified monoclonal antibody in PBS (pH 7.4). NR-50260 is reported to react with GRA2 and to function in immunofluorescence and immunoblot assays.
