HM-184D, Genomic DNA from Propionibacterium sp., Strain 5_U_42FAA, is no longer available.

Genomic DNA was obtained from a preparation of Propionibacterium sp., strain 5_U_42AFAA.

Propionibacterium sp., strain 5_U_42AFAA was isolated in 2007 from inflamed biopsy tissue taken from the duodenum of a 48-year-old female patient with microscopic colitis in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Propionibacterium sp., strain 5_U_42AFAA (HMP ID 1003) is a reference genome for The Human Microbiome Project (HMP). HMP is an initiative to identify and characterize human microbial flora. The complete genome of Propionibacterium sp., strain 5_U_42AFAA was sequenced at the Broad Institute (GenBank: ACUE00000000).

HM-184D has been qualified for PCR applications by amplification of approximately 1500 bp of the 16S ribosomal RNA gene.

Each vial contains 0.7 to 1.5 µg of bacterial genomic DNA in TE buffer (10 mM Tris-HCl and 1 mM EDTA, pH ~ 8.0).
