NR-2528 is no longer available. Genomic DNA from Brucella abortus, Strain 86/8/59, is now available as NR-50165.

Genomic DNA was isolated from a preparation of Brucella abortus (B. abortus), strain 86/8/59 (NCTC 10501).

B. abortus 86/8/59 was isolated from bovine fetus in 1959 by The Central Veterinary Laboratory in Weybridge, England.

NR-2528 has been qualified for PCR applications by amplification of approximately 1430 bp of the 16S ribosomal RNA gene.

Each vial contains approximately 2 µg of bacterial genomic DNA, lyophilized from 0.10 mL containing TE buffer (10 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM EDTA, pH ~ 8.0).
