Genomic DNA was extracted from a preparation of cell lysate and supernatant from human promyelocytic leukemia cells (HL-60; ATCC ® CCL-240™) infected with Anaplasma phagocytophilum (A. phagocytophilum), strain NCH-1. A. phagocytophilum, strain NCH-1 was isolated in 1997 from the blood of a patient suffering from human granulocytic ehrlichiosis in Massachussetts, USA.  The complete genome of A. phagocytophilum, strain NCH-1 has been sequenced (GenBank: LANT01000009).

NR-51150 has been qualified for PCR applications by amplification of approximately 1470 base pairs of the 16S ribosomal RNA gene.

Each vial contains 100 µLof bacterial genomic DNA in TE buffer (10 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM EDTA, pH 7.0). The bacterial genomic DNA is in a background of cellular nucleic acid and carrier RNA. The vial should be centrifuged prior to opening.
