The Plasmodium berghei (P. berghei) expression vectors contain, next to the Toxoplasma gondii or P. berghei DHFR/TS selection cassette, the DHFR/TS 5' upstream and 3' downstream noncoding regions to drive expression of the gene of interest. Expression vectors were designed containing either a unique BamHI site or a linker sequence present at the junction of the empty non-coding regions so that any gene of interest can be cloned as a BamHI, BclI, Sau3A, BglII, XhoI or SalI fragment. The resulting size of the plasmid is 6.2 kilobases. The sequence has not been confirmed by BEI Resources.

Each vial of MRA-84 contains approximately 1 µg of plasmid DNA in buffer at a concentration of 1 µg/9.5 µL.
