MRA-1, Polyclonal Anti-Plasmodium falciparum PfERD2 (antiserum, Rabbit), is no longer available.

Immunogen: Plasmodium falciparum (P. falciparum) ERD2 peptide [C-YFALAKWYGKKLVLPFNGEV conjugated to KLH]

Purification methods: The reagent is decomplemented and pooled sera from two immunized rabbits.

This antiserum reacts with Plasmodium yoelii blood stage parasites in IFA. Serological reactivity measured by indirect ELISA against the ERD2 peptide conjugated to BSA estimated a titer of > 800,000 (1:51,200 at the titration midpoint). The localization pattern by immunofluorescence is consistent with that reported in the original description (Pubmed: 8223485).

Each vial of MRA-1 contains approximately 500 µL of rabbit polyclonal antiserum to P. falciparum ERD2.
