Primer CRT2 is a twenty-five nucleotide reverse primer designed for primary amplification of the Plasmodium falciparum chloroquine resistant transporter gene [locus: pfcrt K76T (primary)] when paired with its partner primer (MRA-541). The sequence of the CRT2 25-mer is 5'-CGGATGTTACAAAACTATAGTTACC-3'.

Each vial contains between 10 µg and 60 µg of dried primer. Dissolving the contents of one vial (2.5 nmole) in 100 µL of distilled water and mixing with its partner primer (total volume of 200 µL), MRA-542 can be used for 200 PCR reactions (each reaction uses 1 µL in a 25 µL volume) at 500 nM. If used at 250 nM, 400 PCR reactions can be completed. If used at 250 nM, 400 reactions can be run. If three or four primers are used, the above volumes would be 1.5 and 2.0 µL, respectively, per reaction.
