Yeast-secreted 19 kDa recombinant protein containing the carboxy terminus of merozoite surface protein 1 (MSP119) from lethal Plasmodium yoelii (P. yoelii), strain XL. The protein is expressed in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, strain VQ1 using the pIXY154 expression plasmid. The expressed domain extends from His1619 to Ser1754. The protein is secreted and recoverable from the culture supernatant. The protein was purified using microfiltration, tangential ultrafiltration diafiltration, and size-exclusion chromatography (Superdex 75).

Each vial of MRA-48 contains approximately 100 µg of purified recombinant P. yoelii MSP119(XL) in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4).
