Recombinant H2 hemagglutinin (HA) protein from influenza virus A/Singapore/1/1957 (H2N2) was produced in Sf9 insect cells using a baculovirus expression vector system. Recombinant H2 HA protein was purified using conventional chromatographic techniques. NR-2668 is biologically active in a hemagglutination assay with 0.5% chicken red blood cells and by western blot analysis. NR-2668 is specific to the H2 HA subtype of influenza virus as determined in serological hemagglutination inhibition (HI) and ELISA assays. Applications: HI, ELISA, Western blot, antiserum preparation (immunogen).

Each vial contains approximately 0.25 mL (55 µg) of purified recombinant H2 HA protein in PBS containing 0.005% Tween-20.
