Stock authentication method: Identified to species according to morphologic criteria (wild-eye and body color).
Standard item authentication method: Most recent F1 morphological authentication was performed on the F4 generation by Cristina R. Rafferty. Predominantly females frozen. Cage dated 19 May 2000.

Each tube of MRA-136B contains approximately 200 unsexed, adult wild-type An. freeborni, strain F1 mosquitoes, which were preserved in liquid nitrogen (quick-frozen). MRA-136B is suitable for DNA and RNA isolation, protein extraction, etc.
