The Biomphalaria glabrata (B. glabrata), strain BS-90 is a pigmented laboratory maintained strain which was derived from field isolates in Brazil in the 1960s.

Strain BS-90 is known to be resistant to infection by Schistosoma mansoni.

NR-34791 consists of B. glabrata, strain BS-90 in a petri dish.
