Recombinant vaccinia virus, vSC56, was prepared by transfecting the transfer vector, pSC56, into cells infected with vaccinia virus strain WR. pSC56 contains a synthetic, vaccinia virus early/late promoter sequence and the E. coli lacZ gene. Homologous recombination of pSC56 with vaccinia virus strain WR resulted in vSC56, a recombinant vaccinia virus expressing beta-galactosidase.

Each vial contains approximately 1 mL of cell lysate and supernatant from infected human cervical cancer HeLa S3 cells (ATCC ® CCL-2.2™).

Note: If homogeneity is required for your intended use, please purify prior to initiating work.
