ARP-11857 is a Jurkat T cell-based reporter cell line that expresses CD4 and CXCR4, and is derived as a spontaneously occurring sub-clone of JLTRG cells. In the absence of human immunodeficiency virus 1 (HIV-1) infection or HIV-1 Tat expression, the cells exhibit no green fluorescence protein (eGFP) expression. JLTRG cells cannot be infected with R5 tropic virus.
ARP-11857 expresses eGFP as a direct and quantitative marker of HIV-1 infection or HIV-1 Tat expression. Expression of both CD4 (95%) and CCR5 (77%) has been confirmed by fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS). Growth characteristics: ARP-11587 has a doubling time of 24 to 48 hours.
Growth Media: RPMI 1640 supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum
ARP-11587 is negative for bacteria, Mycoplasma and fungi.
Each vial of ARP-11587 contains approximately 4 × 106 cells in RPMI 1640 supplemented with 40% fetal bovine serum and 10% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). Please refer to the appropriate data sheet for lot-specific information.
