The murine hybridoma cell line, N4-1F6, was generated by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells with splenocytes from female BALB/c mice immunized with the apical membrane antigen 1 (AMA1) of Plasmodium falciparum (P. falciparum).  This cell line was treated for contamination with mycoplasma removal agent (ICN). Based upon testing, a residual contaminant may be present.

Each vial contains approximately 0.5 mL of hybridoma cells in cell culture medium supplemented with 10% dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) at a concentration of 5 × 106 cells per mL.  Sufficient cells are provided to initiate at least one new culture.

Hybridoma N4-1F6 is growth inhibitory on P. falciparum, strain 3D7 and strain FVO parasites (70%).
