NR-2514 was produced to serve as a mock-infected Specific-pathogen free (SPF) chicken embryo allantoic fluid control for use with products related to the Massachusetts strain of avian infectious bronchitis virus (BEI Resources NR-444, NR-450, and NR-2515). SPF chicken embryo allantoic fluid is derived from the intestines of approximately 10-day-old SPF chicken embryos.

Each vial contains approximately 1 mL of allantoic fluid from mock-infected SPF chicken embryos. The allantoic fluid was treated with binary ethyleneimine to simulate virus inactivation.
