If I'm already registered with another NIH repository or for agents, do I need to complete a full registration with BEI Resources?
Yes. The registration processes for different NIH programs are separate. However, you may be able to use some of the same documents for BEI Resources registration as you did for other applications, such as your CV and Scope of Use.

Does BEI Resources have a process to protect the intellectual property (IP) of depositors?
Yes. Each registrant must sign a general material transfer agreement as part of the registration process, and recipients must agree to a letter of transfer for each shipment. These documents address IP issues for the materials.

The amount of time required to process an application for registration depends upon the level of registration being sought. Is it possible to add more people to my initial institution registration who can be allowed to order materials?
Registration with BEI Resources is per the individual researcher and not the organization, department or laboratory.
