What is the relationship between BEI Resources and ATCC?
BEI Resources has been managed under contract by American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) since 2003. A seven-year contract to continue managing BEI Resources was awarded to ATCC in June 2010.

If I'm already registered with another NIH repository or for agents, do I need to complete a full registration with BEI Resources?
Yes. The registration processes for different NIH programs are separate. However, you may be able to use some of the same documents for BEI Resources registration as you did for other applications, such as your CV and Scope of Use.

Policies and practices mandated for use of BEI Resources are set by NIAID and not by ATCC.

Is registration for the facility or for individual researchers?
BEI Resources does accept Institutional registrations for multiple researchers at the same institution. Institutional registration packets can be found on the registration detail pages.
