• Start with the media on the product sheet.
• Make sure the environment is truly anaerobic by using indicator strips in any containers or anaerobic chambers. There are chemical indicators that can be added to liquid media as well. If your laboratory cannot produce a truly anaerobic media, consider purchasing media made under anaerobic conditions.
• Pre-reduce all media prior to inoculating.
• Spot some of the anaerobic growth on a rich media, such as tryptic soy with 5 % sheep& rsquo s blood, and inoculate aerobically to check for contamination.

The M. leprae strains are highly clonal with little genetic variation, making the expressed proteins the same between the different strains.

Final concentration will be determined by the project requirements of the researcher.   What testing we have done will be provided on the item' s Certificate of Analysis. 

As long as the material is stored correctly as listed on the item' s Product Information Sheet, our materials do not expire.   However, if you have made any modifications (serial dilutions, freeze thaw cycles, etc.) to the original product we would recomend that you test the material to ensure that it will meet your project requirements.
