Yes. Each registrant must as a part of their registration with us ute the BEI Resources Material Transfer Agreement (MTA). The BEI Resources MTA address the terms and conditions of the use of our products and the rights of our contributors to their materials and it use.

Can I commercialize SARS COV-2 materials?

Material as used in this answer, means the original material or any unmodified progeny received from BEI Resources. SARS-CoV-2 materials received under the EUSLA are made available for any legitimate purpose, including commercial purposes, as long as they are to rapidly prevent, detect, prepare for, and respond to, the spread or transmission of the 2019 SARS-CoV-2. Any transfer of the original material or any unmodified progeny must be done under the terms of the EUSLA (see question above regarding transfer of SARS-CoV-2 materials). Any products made by you, that are not considered the original material or unmodified progeny, are excluded from this requirement, and you are free to share and commercialize those products as your own products.

Can BEI Resources materials or modifications be transferred to a third party?

Yes, however only to other approved BEI Resources registrants. Please review our 3rd Party Transfer Policy in the Material Transfer Agreement. An Inter-Registrant Transfer Agreement must be uted prior to the material being transferred.

Which Material Transfer Agreement should I use, the Individual or the Institutional?

BEI Resources does accept Institutional registrations for multiple researchers at the same institution. Institutional registration packets can be found on the registration detail pages. An institutional MTA must be signed by a signatory capable of legally binding the institution. All registrants must also submit paperwork applicable for their registration level as outlined in the instructions.
